I am a senior lecturer, consultant and acting head of department of Obstetrics and Gynaecology, Babcock University, Ilishan-Remo, Nigeria. I studied medicine and surgery and obtained the MBChB degree and MPH from the Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife. I am a fellow of the highest specialty training bodies in Nigeria and West Africa; FMCOG and FWACS. I had sub-specialty training in fertility, reproductive medicine, assisted reproductive techniques and minimal access surgery, in India, where I obtained diplomas and fellowships (FMAS, DMAS, F.ART) and certificates in operative hysteroscopy. I am actively involved in research in preeclampsia, fertility, minimal access and reproductive health. I have been involved in some large multi-centre and multinational collaborative research among which are the ‘’National data system on maternal near miss and mortality in Nigeria’’ and the ‘’Community Level Interventions for Preeclampsia’’. I have several scholarly publications in many highly reputable journals. In addition I am actively involved in peer review process of reputable journals locally and internationally. I also train and provide mentorship and surgical preceptorship for medical students and resident doctors.
